I think this one does use the element well because I really believe the first thing you'll look at is the dog.

I think this one is pretty much the same as the one above, the island is the first thing you look at.

This one is a little iffy but at the end I came to a conclusion that you would look at the boy first then what he's drawing.

This one is the same as the first one as the first thing and probably only thing you'll look at is the flower...

So the background is the thing that sets this photograph back I think, if the background was less detailed it would've used the element very well.
